The OpenLM Engineering License Management Service can be availed either on a subscription model or hourly basis. The service also requires a ‘Statement of Work (SoW)’ agreed upon by OpenLM and the customer to define all the commitments and responsibilities clearly.
You can start the subscription, once these prerequisites are fulfilled:
- Remote Access to the customer’s environment (VPN, Partner VPN)
- Access to all the required License Servers
- Access to customer’s ticketing system
- Access to the vendor portals
- Detailed SoW
The clear definition is that OpenLM’s role always ends at the license server end, OpenLM is only responsible for the license server and the licensing system running on the license server (i.e. License Manager)
OpenLM is never responsible for the configuration of the end-point (i.e. End-User Workstation, Application configuration, Application Support)
Tracking license usage was a challenge for us. Being able to monitor that and historic usage both globally and locally is useful!
