What’s New at OpenLM in February 2024

Innovation is what drives us at OpenLM. We’re constantly expanding our horizons, believing that only change is constant, which brings value to the OpenLM users.

Here is a list of the latest news from us:

OpenLM SLM & Identity Service v24.2

Here at OpenLM, we are always looking for ways to improve security. That’s why we are excited to announce that we now support any external identity provider built on the OpenID Connect (OIDC) standard. Before this implementation, there was a customised configuration for only three external identity providers:

  • AD FS
  • Okta
  • Azure Active Directory

Now, any identity provider that is based on the OpenID Connect standard is supported in OpenLM:

Simplifying User Authentication with OpenID Connect

OpenID Connect is a standard authentication protocol that provides a seamless and secure login experience across multiple platforms. With OIDC, users can log in to various sites using a single set of credentials from an OpenID provider.

When users attempt to log in to a platform using OIDC, they are redirected to their chosen OpenID provider’s site to enter their credentials. Upon the authentication’s success, the user is redirected back to the original platform, and the OpenID provider sends information about the user and the authentication performed.
