## Before you begin

- OpenLM Platform

- OpenLM Broker v25.x or higher installed on the same machine as Sparx, and approve it in [Broker Hub](https://openlm.com/documentation/cloud/data-collection/broker-hub).

## Configure OpenLM Broker

1. Open the Broker UI at http://localhost:5090/.

1. Navigate to License Managers → Add License Manager.

1. Select Sparx as the LM type, enter port (default 7770), and click Add.

*Configure command and execution options as needed (for example, start/stop toggles, periodic/on-demand inquiry).*

*Add log file configuration (same as earlier).*
    - Type: SSKS Log
    - Path: ssksLog.log
    - Encoding: UTF-16

*Save the configuration.*

## Approve Sparx in OpenLM Platform

1. Sign in to OpenLM Platform.
2. From the menu, go to **License Servers** → **Pending Server**.
3. Select the Sparx license manager, then select **Approve and Merge**.

## Verify the integration

1. In OpenLM Platform, go to **License Servers Live** → **Server Statistics**.
2. Confirm Sparx appears with a green status indicator.

It can take up to 3 minutes for the status to update for a new connection.
