What to do when you get a denial

A license denial means all available licenses are currently in use. Here's what to do.

Immediate steps

  1. Wait and retry — Licenses are released when users close applications. Try again in a few minutes.
  2. Check availability — Log in to the OpenLM portal to see the current license count and who is holding licenses.
  3. Contact the license holder — If you can see who holds the last license and it is urgent, contact them directly.

If denials happen frequently

Persistent denials may indicate your organization needs more licenses. Document when denials occur and report them to your administrator or IT team. OpenLM generates denial reports that help administrators make the case for additional licenses.
