What is OpenLM?
OpenLM is the system your organization uses to manage access to licensed software. It tracks who is using which programs and for how long, so that licenses are shared fairly and efficiently across your team.
You may notice OpenLM through:
- The Workstation Agent — a small background application installed on your computer that reports your software usage.
- License denial notifications — if all licenses are in use when you try to open a program, OpenLM may notify you or queue your request.
- Your personal dashboard — a web portal where you can check license availability and your own usage history.
OpenLM runs in the background and does not interrupt your work. Its goal is to ensure everyone who needs a license can get one.
