This document describes the steps required to interface OpenLM with Canvas, allowing you to monitor license usage and obtain statistics.
Requirements
- OpenLM Platform
- OpenLM Broker v25.x or higher installed on the same machine as Canvas, and approve it in Broker Hub.

The current monitoring capabilities for Canvas through OpenLM Broker are:

Configuring via Broker UI

OpenLM Broker must already be installed and configured to report to OpenLM before proceeding.

Open Broker UI at http://localhost:5090/.

Go to License Managers -> Add License Manager.

Select Canvas, enter the port number, and click Add.

Select the Vendors tab. Click Add Vendor. In the pop-up, enter Canvas as the vendor name and click Continue.

Switch to the Log Files tab. Click Add Log File. Make sure Watch file by pattern is turned off. You can add multiple logs. Browse to the location of the activity log, then click Continue.

Click Save.
Configure OpenLM Platform

Log in to OpenLM Platform.

From Menu, go to License Servers.
On left menu, select Pending Server -
On left menu, select Pending Server

On the list, select the Canevaslicense manager and click on Approve and Merge
Verifying the configuration -
In OpenLM Web Interface -> Menu -> License Servers Live -> Server Statistics.

Ensure Canevas appears in the list with a green status indicator.
Note: It can take up to 3 minutes for the status to update for new connections.
