OpenLM can monitor AEScripts License Manager through OpenLM Broker to track license statistics.

## Requirements

1. **OpenLM Server** v5.0.4.7 or higher installed on a machine in your organization.  
2. **OpenLM Broker** v4.11 or higher installed on the same machine as AEScripts.

## Monitoring capabilities and features

Using Broker also allows buffered communication and the ability to remotely start or stop the license manager service.

## OpenLM Broker configuration

*How OpenLM interfaces with AEScripts License Manager*

The Broker reads the AEScripts License Manager log file, compiles the data, and sends it to OpenLM Server.

1. In OpenLM Broker, select **Add Port**.  
2. Enter the AEScripts port (default `27100`).  
3. Select **AEScripts** from the License Manager Type list and select **Apply**.  
4. In **Commands**, browse to the folder containing the AEScripts log file and select **Apply**.  
5. In **Vendors**, set the vendor name to **AEScripts** and select **Apply**.  
6. Select **Restart Broker**.

### Configuring through the Broker UI

1. Open Broker UI at `http://localhost:5090/`.  
2. Go to **License Managers → Add License Manager**.  
3. Select **AEScripts**, enter the port number, and select **Add**.  

4. In **Commands**, set the executable path and adjust start/stop toggles if needed.  

5. In **Log Files**, select **Add Log File**:
   - **Type**: AEScripts Log  
   - **Log name**: descriptive name  
   - **Log Path**: path to AEScripts logs folder  
   - **Vendor**: AEScripts  
   - **Encoding**: windows-152  

6. Select **Continue**, then **Save**.

## OpenLM Server configuration

### Automatic through EasyAdmin

1. Open EasyAdmin.  
2. Go to **License Servers**.  
3. Approve the pending AEScripts server entry (shown as OpenLM Generic).

### Manual through EasyAdmin

1. Go to **Start → Administration → License Manager Servers**.  
2. Select **Add LM**.  
3. Description: for example, "AEScripts".  
4. Type: **OpenLM Generic**.  
5. Set time zone.  
6. Enter hostname and port.  
7. Activate **Use Broker**.  
8. Optionally fill **Custom Fields** (Country, Usage Scope, Description).  
9. Select **Save**.

## Verifying the configuration

1. In EasyAdmin, go to **Start → Widgets → License Servers**.  
2. Ensure AEScripts appears in the list with a green status indicator.  

*Note: It can take up to 3 minutes for the status to update for new connections.*
