Follow these steps to configure OpenLM to monitor license usage and retrieve statistics from the Chaos V-Ray License Manager.

## Requirements

Before starting, make sure you have:

1. An OpenLM SLMC account **or** OpenLM SLM v2x installed on a machine in your organization  
2. OpenLM Broker v23.11 or higher installed on the same machine as the Chaos V-Ray License Manager

## Monitoring capabilities

The Broker reads the Chaos V-Ray License Manager log file, compiles the data, and sends it to OpenLM for processing.

## OpenLM Broker configuration

OpenLM Broker must already be installed and configured to report to OpenLM before proceeding.

1. Open the Broker web UI at `http://localhost:5090` (or `5091`, `5092` if the default port is in use).  
2. Go to **License Managers** → **Add License Manager**.  

3. From the drop-down list, select **Chaos** and enter the port (for example, `35033`).  
4. Click **Add**.  

5. Go to **Vendors** → **Add Vendor** and enter the name `Chaos V-Ray`. Click **Continue**.  
6. Go to **Log Files** → **Add Log File**.  
7. Specify the log file path manually or use the magnifier icon to browse.  
8. Select `Chaos V-Ray` as the vendor and click **Save**.

## OpenLM Server configuration

### Automatic configuration through EasyAdmin

1. Open EasyAdmin at `http://<OpenLM-Server-IP>:5015/` or through **Windows Start → OpenLM → OpenLM EasyAdmin User Interface**.  
2. In **License Manager Servers**, click the **Servers pending approval** icon.  

3. Select the Chaos V-Ray entry, set the LM time zone, verify details, and click **Approve**.

The Chaos V-Ray License Manager will be added automatically and will begin reporting shortly.

### Manual configuration

If automatic configuration fails:

1. In EasyAdmin, go to **Start → Administration → License Manager Servers**.  
2. Click **Add LM**.  
3. From **Type**, select **OpenLM Generic**.  
4. Add a description (for example, `Chaos V-Ray`).  
5. Set the time zone of the license server.  
6. Enter the hostname and port from the Broker configuration.  
7. Set **Use Broker** to **On** and **Allow SLM to fall back to denied license** to **Off**.  
8. Click **Save**.

## Verify your configuration

1. Open EasyAdmin.  
2. Go to **Start → Widgets → License Servers**.  
3. Confirm the Chaos V-Ray License Manager appears in the list with a green status circle.
