COSCOM

OpenLM can interface with COSCOM LicenseMonitor through OpenLM Broker to monitor license usage, expirations, and other statistics.

Requirements

  1. OpenLM Server v4.7 or higher installed on a machine in your organization.
  2. OpenLM Broker v4.10 or higher installed on the same machine as COSCOM LicenseMonitor.

Broker also allows buffered communication with the license server.

How OpenLM interfaces with the COSCOM LicenseMonitor

The Broker reads the COSCOM LicenseMonitor log file, compiles the data, and sends it to OpenLM Server.

  1. In OpenLM Broker, click Add Port.
  2. Enter any port number (for example, 888).
  3. Select COSCOM from the License Manager Type list and click Apply.
  4. In Vendors, set the vendor name to COSCOM and click Apply.
  5. In Log Files, click Add Log File.
  6. Select the newly created log node, browse to the path of the COSCOM LicenseMonitor .log file (typically the CLS Data path from installation), and click Apply.
  7. Click Restart Broker.

OpenLM Server configuration

Automatic through EasyAdmin

  1. Open EasyAdmin.
  2. In License Servers, find the pending COSCOM entry and click Approve.

Manual through EasyAdmin

  1. In EasyAdmin, go to Start → Administration → License Manager Servers.
  2. Click Add LM.
  3. Type: COSCOM.
  4. Display name: for example, “COSCOM LicenseMonitor”.
  5. Set the time zone.
  6. Enter hostname and port.
  7. Activate Use Broker.
  8. Click Save.

Verifying the configuration

  1. In EasyAdmin, go to Start → Widgets → License Manager Servers.
  2. Confirm COSCOM appears in the list with a green status indicator.

Note: Status updates for new connections may take up to 3 minutes.
