## Overview

This document outlines the steps required to integrate Creo License Manager with OpenLM. By completing the configuration, you can monitor license usage, gather statistics, and ensure optimized license management.

## Requirements

To set up Creo integration with OpenLM, the following components are necessary:

1. **OpenLM SLM**:

• Version 2.x installed on a local machine within your organization.

• Alternatively, an **SLMC** account.

2. **OpenLM Broker**:

• Version 25.2 or higher installed on the same machine as the CREO License Manager.

## Monitoring capabilities and Features

The current monitoring capabilities available for CREO through OpenLM Broker are as follows:

## Configuration steps

### OpenLM Broker configuration

**Step 1: Access the OpenLM Broker Interface**

• Open a web browser and access the Broker interface using the URL:

http://localhost:5090 (adjust the port number if it’s not the default, for example, 5091 or 5092).

**Step 2: Add a License Manager**

1. Navigate to the **License Managers** tab.

2. Click **Add License Manager**.

3. In the pop-up window:

• Select **Creo** from the drop-down list.

• Enter the Creo port number (for example, 25).

• Click **Add.**

**Step 3: Configure License File Settings**

• Go to the **Settings** tab. The Broker can auto-detect the license file.

• Verify the detected file path, or select **Set license file path manually** to navigate to the license.xml file.

•Click **Save.**

**Step 4: Commands tab**

1. Switch to the **Commands** tab.

2. Click **Save**, then click **Execute**. A positive command result will look like this:

### OpenLM SLM configuration

Once the OpenLM Broker is set up, proceed to configure OpenLM through the EasyAdmin User Interface:

1. Open EasyAdmin in your browser.

2. Navigate to **Start → Widgets → License Manager Servers**.

3. In the **License Servers** window, click the **There are Servers Pending Approval** icon.

**Step 1: Approve the License Manager**

1. Double-click on the pending license manager (displayed as **OpenLM Generic**).

2. In the **Display Name** field, enter a recognizable name for the license manager.

3. Use the **Custom Fields** to add relevant details, such as country, usage scope, or description.

4. Verify the configuration details and click **Approve**.

The Creo License Manager will now be added to the OpenLM SLM. After a brief period (up to 3 minutes), the system will parse the data and display its status with a **green circle**, indicating an active connection.

**Verifying the Creo Configuration**

To confirm that the Creo License Manager is correctly configured:

1. Open EasyAdmin in your browser.

2. Navigate to **EasyAdmin Start → Widgets → License Servers**.

3. Verify that the configured license manager appears in the server list.

• A **green circle** node indicates an active connection to the license server.

*Note: For new connections, it may take up to 3 minutes for the status indicator to change.*
