License Allocations

Overview

Use license Allocations to track and analyze license usage in your organization. This page logs every license check-out and check-in, helping you understand who used what license, when, from where, and for how long.

License Allocations help with:

  • Auditing and compliance
  • Troubleshooting and user support
  • Historical usage tracking

General filters

Use filters to refine data:

  • Server name: Filter by license server
  • Vendor name: Filter by software publisher
  • Product name / feature name: Filter by specific tool or module
  • License type: Filter by floating, node locked, named user, or single use
  • Include obsolete: Include inactive features for historical analysis

Time range filters

Use Allocations start/end time filter to select:

  • Quick ranges (today, yesterday, last 7 days, last 30 days, last 360 days)
  • Custom range for a specific date span using calendar picker

Understand Allocation table

Each row shows a unique license usage event. Columns include:

  • Server name: License server used
  • Vendor name: Software publisher
  • Feature name: License feature accessed
  • License type: Type of license used
  • User name: User who checked out license
  • Allocation start / end: Timestamps showing session duration

Use search bar to find specific records. Use pagination controls to navigate large datasets.
