OpenLM Broker queries the license manager locally. Once this data is collected, it is sent to OpenLM Server for processing.

Please note that OpenLM Broker must already be installed and configured to report to OpenLM Server before proceeding further.

Automatic OpenLM Broker configuration

OpenLM Broker supports the automatic configuration of Sentinel SuperPro.

1. Click Detect in the bottom right corner of the Broker configuration tool window:

Click Detect in the bottom right corner of the Broker configuration tool window:

If the Sentinel SuperPro process or service is started, Broker will automatically create a line with all required settings.

It is recommended to manually check that the automatic configuration is working. For this, go to the added Sentinel SuperPro LM → Commands tab and click Execute.

The resulting output should be valid, without “Failed to execute command” error.

Manual OpenLM Broker configuration

If auto-detect did not work, you can also add and configure the license manager manually. To do so:

  1. Access the Broker web UI, where the Sentinel SuperPro License Manager is installed.
  2. Click on the License Managers tab→Add License Manager. An ADD LICENSE MANAGER popup appears.
  3. Enter the Sentinel SuperPro LM port number.
  4. Select Sentinel SuperPro from the “LM Type” drop-down menu. Click ADD.
  5. Select the Commands tab. Under the Data Inquiry, make sure the command path is correct.

At this point, the Sentinel SuperPro LM has been automatically added to OpenLM Server and the configuration is complete.

How to verify your Sentinel SuperPro configuration

To check if the Sentinel SuperPro License Server is being monitored correctly:

  1. Open the EasyAdmin User Interface.
  2. Click EasyAdmin Start → Widgets → License Manager – Servers. Verify that the configured license manager appears in the server list. A green circle node indicates an active connection to the license server.

Please note, that sometimes it may take up to 3 minutes for the status indicator to change if this is a new connection.
