Sparx

Requirements

  • OpenLM Platform

  • OpenLM Broker v25.x or higher installed on the same machine as Sparx, and approve it in Broker Hub.

Configuring via Broker UI

  1. Open the Broker UI at http://localhost:5090/.

  2. Navigate to License Managers -> Add License Manager.

  3. Select Sparx as the LM type, enter port (default 7770), and click Add.

  4. Configure command and execution options as needed (e.g. start/stop toggles, periodic/on-demand inquiry).

    Add log file configuration (same as above).

  5. Add log file configuration (same as above).

    • Type: SSKS Log
    • Path: ssksLog.log
    • Encoding: UTF-16

    Save the configuration.

  6. Save the configuration.

Configure OpenLM Platform

  1. Log in to OpenLM Platform.

  2. From Menu, go to License Servers.

    On left menu, select Pending Server

  3. On left menu, select Pending Server

  4. On the list, select the Sparx license manager and click on Approve and Merge

    Verifying the configuration

  5. In OpenLM Web Interface -> Menu -> License Servers Live -> Server Statistics.

  6. Ensure Sparx appears in the list with a green status indicator.

Note: It can take up to 3 minutes for the status to update for new connections.
